Anybody remember what they were doing three years ago? Well, I can’t remember what I was doing 3 years ago to the minute, or even the hour, but I do know what was on my mind and heart… Katrina. I was praying for the people in the Superdome, and afterwards, I mourned with [...]

Not a great week this week. I gained 4.2 pounds! It must be water or something, because I know I did not consume an extra 14,700 calories over the last week (4.2 x 3500). So hopefully it will disappear in the next week.
Had three trips to the restaurant over the past week. [...]

For the last 17 days, I’ve been enjoying the Olympics as much as the next person. I’ve enjoyed watching Shawn Johnson and Nastia Luiken get their golds, felt down when the American relay racers dropped their batons, and cheered on Michael Phelps through his 8 golds. Since I’ve been using Tivo to watch [...]

Recently, I wrote another post about how if we’re so concerned about the planet and being green, why do we buy junk that will wear out in a year? Why do we always buy the latest if we’re so concerned about the planet? Something I was talking to my husband about the other [...]

Well, I started week 2 of the Hundred Pushup Challenge. I don’t look forward to push ups, but I would like to be stronger.

Our new school year is starting in 2 weeks. It seems like we just finished… perhaps it is because we just did. Because of the house fire, we didn’t finish the last of the history lessons until mid-July.
But all of dd’s friends are already in school, and we kinda have to start with [...]
