As to the debate question… what is your strategy towards Russia? Are they a friend, and enemy, what?

Obama: blah blah blah blah blah… Russia and Georgia both need to show restraint…

Ummm… can’t you just say “enemy?” Perhaps that would be a little inflammatory, but it’s true. You can say enemy in a diplomatic way, right? Obama remarks on how they might need to take strong action.

McCain mentions that Russia was the one threatening Georgia, not the other way around. Russia is a repackaged form of the KGB. They are aggressors. They’re trying to regain the old Russia. Georgia is our friend. We expect Russia to behave.

Who is more to the point?
