What Would Paul Do?

My husband brought up an interesting point about all these people that are hailing Obama as the messiah… why hasn’t Obama refuted these claims? Wouldn’t most real Christians tell them that they were not?

In the Bible, almost the exact situation occurred. Paul was on one of his missionary journeys, and some of the people began to believe that he was a god. Not wanting people to be deceived, he immediately refuted the claims, telling them that he was not god, but there was a God that he worshipped that could save you from your sins.

So why doesn’t Obama refute these messiah claims? Shouldn’t all Christians do so when in those circumstances?
