9/12 Protesters Decend on Washington

Between 75,000 and two million protesters descended on Washington DC today for the 9/12 March on Washington. I wish I could have been there, but they cut my hours at work to 4 1/2 last week, and 7 1/2 this week, and did the same with my husband (who works at the same company), so we couldn’t afford it. We were there in spirit.

The mainstream media actually reported the event, although ABC said that there were “thousands” of people there. The Daily Mail in the UK said that there were up to two million people there. One person who was not there was Obama, who high-tailed it out of town to promote health care in Minnesota.

I wish that I could feel hopeful for this country. The people have shown that they are willing to stand up for freedom. We have a voice, and we want to be listened to. However, I also know the Bible, and I know that we’re not in Revelation. Well, at least we won’t go down without a fight.
