Disturbing Dream Last Night

Very rarely do I have a dream that disturbs me, but this one was pretty freaky.

I have two living grandmothers in real life. They live in the same town, and they know each other. I think that there was some sort of death in my family. These strangers, who must have been related to me, were staying with my grandmothers. The first thing I remember in my dream is knocking on my first grandmother’s door. The main door was open, but the screen was closed. I was going to tell these relatives about Jesus. I could see them through the screen door, but they weren’t answering.

The second thing I remember, we must have been at the memorial service or something, at my other grandmother’s house. This grandmother owns a lot of acreage, and some of it is on a lake. The first thing I remember here is sitting in my grandmother’s house. Somebody starts playing a Christian hymn on the piano, and other people started singing along.

I guess at this point the new relatives start heading back to the back rooms at my grandmother’s house. They also must have taken the hymns outside and started an impromptu church service in my grandmother’s backyard by the lake (now this would have never happened in real life, my grandparents have never been all that religious). I was still in my grandmother’s house, and I start hearing voices coming from the back of the house. These strangers started talking about a “body count” and I could tell that they planned on killing the Christians at the house.

I didn’t want to alert them, so I go in the backyard to the church meeting, and spot my dad. I whisper to him that I’m going to start walking home, and tell him what I just heard. He gives me the truck keys and me and mom drive home instead. As I start to drive home, I saw the strange relatives erecting some sort of cauldron up on a pole in my grandmother’s front yard. As we were driving, I was checking to make sure nobody was following us. Then I woke up.

Then I realized that it was Halloween. I hope that this was just a strange dream.
