Get Ready for the Holidays!

I love the holidays. Unless there’s a miracle, I won’t be able to afford a visit to my family this year (I did spend a month at their house this summer, so I guess it’s not that bad), but I love the festivity. I love the decorations and excitement. I love to watch my little kids get excited (my little guy will be three this year, so it should be quite exciting).

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine is offering a free supplement for the holidays. I had a chance to look through it, and it’s got a lot of interesting stuff in it. It’s 180 pages, and it has recipes, poems, Christmas songs, stuff for the kids, stories, and more. There’s some homeschool activities in there, but you don’t have to be a homeschooler to enjoy it. Plus, it’s free, so you’re out nothing to check it out.

I’m looking forward to looking through this magazine. Although times have been tight for many Christmases at this point, our finances are especially up in the air this year, since both me and my husband are relying on our freelance income. I will probably make some of my gifts this year; this magazine comes with some ideas.
