I don’t have a great deal of time to write now… I have car reviews to write for work… but I wanted to give a really quick recap of Glenn Beck’s American Revival. I’m sure I’ll write more about it on Monday, either here or on the main Brookelorren.com site or Associated Content.

As you can see in the other post I made, we had the absolute worst $120 seats in the house, despite Ticketmaster having plenty of better seats in that price level when they sold them to us. It wouldn’t have bothered me, if I hadn’t known that they were selling better tickets to other people after we purchased ours, and that they gave people with $20 tickets better seats than us.

Anyway, I was very impressed with the event. Glenn Beck started off with the Pledge of Allegiance. Then, we all said a prayer. Very cool. We also were given a great binder with a lot of information (some of which they gave out at the event). I think I took about 10 pages of notes on top of that. So there will be plenty of things to write about.

One thing that I didn’t know was the Constitution Day was originally intended for all school kids to study the Constitution. That’s on September 17th this year. I think that it’s still a Federal law. Of course, nobody follows that law… except this year, now that I know about it, we will be studying the Constitution at the lastname Christian Academy on Constitution Day. At some point, my daughter will also have to read Lives of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence and Wives of the Signers at some point too, but probably when she’s older. Constitution Day is once every year.

The American Revival has inspired me to try to write more on these topics. Despite once being a Navy Lieutenant, I’m not much of a leader. I’m too shy around people. I am a writer though. We all can do our part to restore, not transform, this country.
