Boycotts Work Both Ways, Los Angeles

The Los Angeles City Council recently voted to boycott Arizona as a response to our recent law on Arizona immigration. Well, Los Angeles, boycotts can work both ways. In response to your boycott of Arizona, we boycotted Los Angeles.

On our trip last weekend, we didn’t make purchases in Los Angeles. We bought food in Buena Park and up north of Los Angeles, we watched movies in Buena Park, but we purposely avoided Los Angeles. If you’re going to boycott Arizona, we will boycott Los Angeles.

When we checked into our hotel room Friday, the receptionist asked us how things were in Arizona. She was under the impression that there was rioting in the streets or something. No, life goes on as normal. I haven’t noticed any changes. Nobody is scared here. In fact, things are better than normal. Hey, we can now pack without a concealed carry permit. Nobody’s going to want to mess with you.

I’ll probably be making more comments on my trip, but I wanted to bring that one up for sure. Even though we had already planned a trip to LA, that doesn’t mean we had to spend money there. Well, we spent money, just not in Los Angeles.
