Merry Christmas to you! My little boy is already in bed, and my little girl is doing the dishes. Then she wants to wrap a present for her brother (she’s giving him one of her stuffed bears), and then she’ll be going to bed. We already set out our stockings.

This was a pretty good Christmas season for me. We weren’t afraid of getting evicted this year at least. Doesn’t look like the car will get repossessed. My business did fairly well over the holidays: Zazzle sales set records for the second month in a row (I sold over 100 of one design of bumper stickers I made last year), and people bought a lot of presents off my Squidoo lenses too. We’ll have a nice January and February when the commisions come in.

The one thing that makes me sad is that I can’t be with my family this year; that is, my mom, dad, grandmothers, and even my brother. We had tried to visit them every other year, but this is the third year since we were able to visit them for Christmas. Of course, I had to write about Christmas away from my family, like the workaholic I am. One year, I remember, my husband had just lost his job, and we decided to drive up to see them. We knew that the bills were paid for the rest of the month, and money was going to come in January from his school money. Dh will get school money at the end of January, but we don’t have much now, and the school money won’t come in until after the bills are due.

So this year, we’ll have Christmas in Arizona again. Nobody’s in the hospital; that’s good too. A friend of mine who I thought might be in the hospital, or lose his arm for the holidays, had a successful surgery and was able to actually leave the hospital. Our house didn’t catch on fire this year either. That’s good. If the economy doesn’t collapse next year, next Christmas should be pretty good. My business might even do well enough that I can visit my family.

I hope that you have a great Christmas too. :-)
