Using Our Talents for the Lord

This morning we were in church, and the preacher was talking about using your talents for God. I thought about how I was doing…
Then I thought about Frank Jenner. I saw a video about him on YouTube several years ago, and then remembered his story and did a web page on him last year. Basically, after he got saved, he decided to tell people about the Lord every day. He told at least 10 people about Jesus every day, approaching them on George Street, for decades. If he was sick, he might miss a day, but he would make up for it later.
Now, talking to people is not one of my talents. I don’t even like calling people on the telephone, unless I know them well; I don’t usually call to chat, unless I’m calling my parents or grandparents, who I can’t see in person. So approaching people is not really my forte.
Just because talking to people is not my strong suit doesn’t mean that I can’t use my talents for God. He did give me the ability to write.
Am I using it as much as I should? Can we never do enough? I’m sure that we can never do too much. Frank Jenner did something every day. Perhaps that should be my goal.
So I’m going to try to write more for Jesus. I have tons of sermon notes that I’ve taken over the past several years; writing articles about them would be a start. I wrote another article for my Ezekiel project tonight. I hope to cover all of Ezekiel eventually, but I have a long way to go.
