Will the Nation of Islam attempt to assassinate Barack Obama? They assassinated Malcolm X, and it seems like they're threatening to assassinate someone who is selling out the black people in the next day or two.

-->

I’m a little concerned. I’m not a big fan of Obama’s, but I think that there is the possibility of an assassination attempt on his life this week. My concern comes from this video of Louis Farrakhan, taken two days ago:

From the video, Farrakhan said “people tomorrow — maybe in a few days — are going to kill their leaders who have been selling them out”. This is not a conditional statement – this is a threat. He says that people ARE going to kill their leaders, maybe in a few days. A few days from the day that he made that statement would be tomorrow…

So why do I say that Obama in particular may be a target? I say that primarily because of these videos right here:

First, Farrakhan was practically worshipping Obama. He called him the Messiah.

Last year, Farrakhan’s love affair with Obama seem to have ended. He called Obama an “assassin” and a “murderer”…

Now, we have Farrakhan threatening to murder black leaders. I noticed that it he said plural leaders, not singular leader. The most obvious target for Farrakhan would be Obama. Obama has disappointed the Nation of Islam leader, no doubt. In the video, he talks about black leaders who want the big house and the big car… he could have also said “takes a million vacations”. Not sure who else the Nation of Islam could be targeting though.

I hope that I’m wrong… but something very strange is going on. If someone wanted to make an assassination attempt on the president’s life, that would be a very difficult thing, wouldn’t you think? Why? Because the Secret Service is always around to protect him. Now normally, they do a great job. Lincoln’s Secret Service agent wasn’t doing such a hot job on April 14, 1865, when he decided to go to the bar next door instead of protect his president while watching a play. What has been happening in the news over the last few days? Members of the Secret Service were being accused of prostitution. Whether they are guilty or not, couldn’t this weaken the Secret Service to some degree? Is Obama’s Secret Service detail as strong today as it was a week ago?

We can only hope that the Secret Service still is strong, that I’m wrong about who the NOI is threatening, and that I’m wrong that they’re making a threat at all. The facts don’t seem very encouraging to me. If you’re going to choose a day to pray for your country, the next couple of days would be a good time.

Yes, I am happy that Osama bin Laden is gone, but I am very sad that his soul was lost in hell for all eternity.

-->

Osama bin Laden is dead. He was killed on May 1, 2011, almost 10 years after his most infamous attack on the World Trade Center occurred. I have mixed feelings about this event.

1) Happiness! Bin Laden was a very evil person who killed a lot of people. It’s good that we don’t have to worry about him any more. Will al-Qaeda continue to exist without him? Hopefully not. At any rate, we can be happy that he is no longer a threat.

2) Nervousness. I’m sure that I will be fine. I’m not in the military any more, and where I live, I’m not likely to be attacked by any group that wishes to retaliate. We can’t be all joy without awareness of what could happen. Bin Laden’s death could affect the prophetic timeline, especially if terrorist groups decide to attack or if the Islamic countries decide to unite over this.

3) Sadness. No, I am not sad that Osama bin Laden is gone. I’m glad that he can no longer attack us. However, bin Laden was obviously not a Christian. It is highly unlikely that he ever decided to repent for one minute of his life. In all likelihood, he is in hell this very minute, and that’s something I can’t wish on my worst enemy. Jesus died for everyone in the world, including Osama bin Laden. He is one person that was not reached before he died; I personally believe that there are degrees of hell, and Osama bin Laden probably had a reservation in one of the worst spots. I am in no way sad that he is gone, but I’m sad that his soul was lost.

So, that’s what I think. I’m glad that he is gone, but I’m sorry that he did not decide to repent before his death. I guess that God knew that he never would, so He decided that his time was up.

It almost seems like we just started this nightmare of a presidency, when it’s time to start electing a new one. I suppose Obama won’t be spending as much time playing golf over the next couple of years at least. If you asked me about the candidates a couple of months ago, it would have seemed to me like more of the same (although perhaps not quite as bad), but that was before I first learned of Herman Cain.

Herman Cain knows how to get things done. He’s spent time running companies. He’s turned failing companies around. I doubt that he would be trying to impose requirements on small businesses to send out W-2s when they spent more than $600 at a particular business (fortunately that was struck down… it would have been pretty annoying to have to write W-2s to the grocery store, being a sole proprietor… unless that requirement only was for business-related expenses, of which I have almost none). I heard him speak on a local radio station around here. He has a lot to offer. According to Wikipedia, he helped bring down the Clinton Health Care Plan in the 1990s. The more I learn about him, the more I like him.

I know that people are talking about Donald Trump running, but the idea isn’t really all that exciting to me. I suppose I’d probably vote for him if he was running against Obama, but I’m not jumping for joy. Cain seems more likeable to me.

The left may spend some time investigating small time people. I'm pretty unimportant, but if you want to find dirt on me, I say "Bring it on".

George Soros is spending a lot of money hiring minions to go around investigating people who are involved with Glenn Beck, the Tea Party, and other conservative causes. I say, “Bring it on”.

Last summer at the NetRoots conference, someone mentioned that they were going to look into Glenn Beck’s fans. Coincidentally, that very same weekend, this blog had a hit that I traced back to a very wealthy Democrat who is big into politics. Don’t know if the two are related, but it did seem a little odd to me at the time.

I realize that I’m pretty much a nobody in the realm of conservative politics: the few thousand hits that I get a week among all of my pages are hardly worth writing home about. A good majority of my writings have absolutely nothing to do with politics anyway; I generally write about whatever I feel like. If the left wants to find dirt on conservatives great or small, and wants to take a look at my life, that’s perfectly fine.

As I’ve mentioned before, I consider myself a radical Christian. No, this doesn’t mean that I’m violent; far from it. I actually try to live the ten commandments. Obviously I fail, but I’m pretty boring in many respects. The dirt that can be found on me is hardly earth-shattering.

I can’t say the same thing for everybody in the conservative sphere… most of the people that I hang out with are pretty good people, but you never know what they might hide; I do have a friend that has a secret, but this person doesn’t blog or anything like that.

Those of us that do blog or comment on conservative politics should probably live our lives as if someone was looking at it under a magnifying glass. With Google, people can find out a lot about us.

Barack Obama is a believer in Liberation Theology. I was sent a book around the time of the elections, The Faith of Barack Obama… I’m not sure why this book was sent to me; I’m not exactly a Barack Obama supporter. I read about half the book, then got involved in reading something else; I guess I should take another look at it. It was an easy read, but I had seen enough right around page 102: Barack Obama is not a Christian in the sense that he believes that he needs to repent of his personal sins, and that Jesus’ death on the cross is the only way to get to Heaven.

Liberation theology believes that there is an oppressor, and an oppressed. Nowadays, the black person is typically the oppressed, and the white person is the oppressor. As far as I know, I don’t know any black person that believes this; this theory is not universally a black thing. My husband does not believe this. Jesus was a victim when he died on the cross. For the white people to receive salvation, they must identify with the oppressor, give up their belongings and power (redistribution of wealth); this allows white society to be collectively redeemed.

Now, I don’t know what god these guys are worshipping, but it’s certainly not my Jesus. For one thing, my Jesus was not a victim. My Jesus was God; therefore, he could not be powerless. He could have chosen to call angels to save them; he could have given everyone that hated him instant heart attacks, but he chose not to. He died willingly, because that was God the Father’s plan to save us.

The other thing that’s wrong: to say that white people (or anyone) would have to give power or wealth to anyone else for salvation is arrogant and missing the point. It gives salvation-granting power to the victims; I’m sorry, only Jesus can grant salvation. It also takes away freedom of choice. I can choose to believe in Jesus and trust in his salvation, but under liberation theology, I had better be a part of the program of salvation, or I’m ruining it for everyone.

I can see how Christians could have a really difficult time in the future with Obama’s view of the world, whether white or black. If you don’t “get with the program”, you’re damning other people. Under traditional Christianity, if you choose to become a Buddhist or even a devil worshipper, that doesn’t affect my eternal destiny. However, if you refuse to get with the program under liberation theology, you’re damning the other people in society: your choice not only affects your eternal destiny, it also affects the destiny of those around you.

This could lead to problems in the future. If you are a true Christian, you can’t deny Jesus. While others can take your things, they can’t change your belief in the Savior.

Are the best days of America over? I think so, but that doesn't mean that I'm with Obama.

-->

Earlier this week, Glenn Beck stated that if you believe that the best days of America are behind us, then you are on Barack Obama’s side.

I have to disagree.

Do I believe that the best days of America are behind us? Yes. Am I on Barack Obama’s side? No. And here’s why:

I don’t think we have time left.

I believe that we are in the last days, as prophesied in Revelation. America is not listed in prophecy. This either means one of two things: either the rapture will remove so many Christians from America that it will cripple America, or America will be destroyed before the tribulation begins.

I don’t believe that America is “Babylon”. There is an actual Babylon in the Middle East; I think that is Babylon.

This doesn’t mean that I don’t think that America is worth fighting for. I think that we should fight for America until it’s over. We should learn about the Founding Fathers. We should go back to faith, hope, and charity. We should go back to God. With time running out, I don’t think that will be enough though.

Yay! I’m very excited. Me and dh have tickets to go see Glenn Beck’s American revival tomorrow. I’m a little miffed that after we bought our tickets (we paid for the $120 floor seats), Ticketmaster released better seats than the ones we have, but I guess there’s nothing you can do about it other than write a letter of complaint.

The kidlets are over at a friend’s house, so we don’t even have to drop them off tomorrow. All we have to do is get dressed and go.

They’re letting us take cameras, so I hope to get some good shots to share with everyone. I’m sure I’ll also have plenty of notes that I’ll be taking at the event too.

Last night, President Barack Obama gave his State of the Union address. I didn’t watch it in it’s entirety, but from the little bit that I have seen, I found a couple of his comments interesting… it related to how he referred to the other two branches of government.

To the Supreme Court, he reprimanded them for making a ruling that basically gutted McCain-Feingold. In past elections, businesses (and I suppose, wealthy individuals) were prohibited from funding issue-based advertising during a political campaign. The Supreme Court ruled that by not allowing people and businesses to pay for their own political ads, they were limiting free speech. Obama chastised the Supreme Court (with the nine justices sitting right in front of him) during the speech.

He also took a dig at the legislature. Obama was upset that the senate blocked a bill that he wanted. No worries… Obama said that he’ll get around the blocked bill by issuing an executive order instead.

So what is the difference, I ask, between Obama and a dictator? If it doesn’t matter what the legislature says (he can issue an executive order to get around it), why do we even have a legislature? Perhaps the Supreme Court can declare executive orders unconstitutional (which they should be). I wonder how he would get around that.

Barbara Boxer was interviewing a Brigadier General in Congress the other day, and she got a little miffed when he called her “ma’am”, rather than senator…

Now if he had been calling her dude, Barb, doll, witch, or some other non-respectful term, I could see how she would get upset with him. But really, get over yourself. Personally, I think that it’s more difficult to make Brigadier General than Senator, but that’s just me. Additionally, in the military, ma’am is a title that you give to someone that has a higher rank than you. Considering that you don’t get too much higher of a rank than Brigadier General, that’s a pretty high title.

Her comment reminded me of a parable that Jesus told in Luke 14:7-11:

7 So He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose the best places, saying to them: 8 “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; 9 and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

When you exalt yourself, you will be humbled. Got it? I have a lot more respect for someone who has had some great accomplishments in their life, but doesn’t always bring it up, than for someone who has done much and always toots their own horn. Election day is only a year and a half away… and I must add that there is a growing discontent with incumbents, if you haven’t heard. Incumbents that want reelection need to show us why they should be reelected.
