Welcome to my newly redone blog. I hadn’t touched it for a while, and am starting anew. Blah blah blah.
Anyway, I hope to put up stuff related to books I’m working on, books, and my quest to eventually publish a book or two (or hopefully more).
So I suppose I should start with… what am I working on?
THE ELF AND THE OUTLAW

This book is an enemies-to-lovers story that I started working on in 2018. The night the elf Lila turned down the prince’s proposal, the king was murdered, and she was the number one suspect. On the run, she fell into Ren’s (a human outlaw) cave. While his initial instinct was to hold her up for ransom (and she threatened to gut him in his sleep in return), they made a deal. He would help keep her safe until she could prove her innocence, and she would help him get a job (and in the process gain some respectability) when it was all over. Falling in love wasn’t part of the deal.
While these are both fantasy books, there’s a lot of real history in these books. Some of the ideas have inspired the books, some are directly used in the books. I hope to talk about some of these in the books (I am a huge history geek).
This one is currently out with beta readers and will hopefully be ready to query in early 2026.
SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST
This is a best friends-to-lovers story I started in 2020 (I think). Melody has been secretly in love with her best friend, Quintus, since she was 13. He’s dated pretty much every girl their age in the village—except for her. When summer snows destroy that year’s crops and Melody’s father dies, they decide to take advantage of a job opportunity up north helping to build an elven trading post. While they both need the money, Melody longs for the adventure, and Quintus longs to get away from his abusive father. While there, Melody has to deal with an abusive boss, and Quintus, in his quest to forget his father, has to deal with his fear of becoming just like him.
This book is currently in its third draft. Hopefully this one will be ready to query in mid-2026. Yes, I may have two books in the query trenches at once.
And I may share some of my questionable Google searches/Chat GPT questions. Because questionable Google searches make a good book, right?
Well, that’s all for now.
Welcome back!
Thank you!
