It’s Top Ten Tuesday again. This week’s topic is supposed to be “Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2026,” but since I’ve been away from Top Ten Tuesday for a while, I don’t have ten books that I’m looking forward to releasing in the next six months. I think I have two, and one of them I learned about today. I don’t even have ten books that I know of that are coming out in the future that I want to read—I have five.

So this will be a Top Five Tuesday instead. I’m looking forward to reading some of your Top Ten Tuesdays so I can find some books to look forward to!

I’ll at least start with the two that are coming out in the first six months of this year.

1. Seek the Traitor’s Son—Veronica Roth. This is one I already have pre-ordered. I recently finished reading Carve the Mark and will probably resume rereading the series after I finish reading Snowed in at the Cat Café, which I borrowed through Interlibrary Loan and is due at the end of the month. But I’m looking forward to this book.

This book is supposed to come out in May.

2. A Darker Shore: Letters From Ketterdam—Leigh Bardugo. This is an addition to the Six of Crows books, and it’s supposed to come out in June. I just learned about it today. I don’t know much about it, but it takes place after the Six of Crows duology, which I really liked.

And that’s about all of the books I know that are supposed to come out in the next six months that I’m looking forward to reading.

Here are some books that I’m looking forward to at some period in the future…

3. The Bone Conjurers—Cassandra Clare. This will be the third book in the Sword Catcher series. Do I know when this book is coming out? Nope. But I will pre-order it once I find out when it’s coming out.

4. The New Alchemists #2—Marie Lu. This doesn’t even have a title yet. I don’t know when it’s coming out either. I just know that I’m looking forward to reading it when it comes out.

5. The Last King of Fairie—Cassandra Clare. This will be the first book in the Wicked Powers series, which is supposed to come out in the fall. I don’t think there’s a date yet.

It’s very strange because years ago, when Twitter was popular, I always knew about all the exciting books coming out. It seems like the book community has scattered since then, between Instagram, TikTok, BlueSky, and various other platforms. But it’s all different now. Hopefully I’ll be able to find some good books today.
